Clice Wonderland -Halloween Window 1

Her name is Clice, no it is not Alice, don't make it wrong.

Three weeks before Halloween, I made this windows displaying. I was inspired by Tim Walker's work again. There were quite lots of things to do all done on my own, but lots of fun as well. I felt like it was a new   milestone in my window dressing, my windows seemed to be able to tell storey now.

Marge don't hide away! Give me a lovely smile!

Shine On

Golden Beads Dress

We got the thingy like a suit hanger this week, and today Sharon prepared a whole straw basket of golden leaves and flowers for me to play. And on last Saturday when I had my first fashion design for beginner short course in Central Saints Martin in London, we were in the library of the college, I found the first picture showed above from one of Tim Walker's early works, then I was just suddenly inspired by it, so this was my version of  Tim Walker's work. As Sharon kept giving me more and more golden beads, so I made them like a long dress. After I had done and showed it on window, I noticed that lots of passersby stopped there for a few second to look at my work, or they looked at it as they were walking, I thought they like it, I was quite happy.

Battle Blue

I prepared a mood board before hand, as you can see the blue in the image are bright blue or you can call it battle blue, Vogue named it. Unfortunately I don't have any that blue, so it ended up with a black window. I was not happy with it, but I didn't have time change another theme.

On my way home, I went pass a bathroom shop and saw these glasses, I decided that my windows's colours were too cold, it should be mixed with some warm colours, even just a tiny bit. So next day , I went back to the shop, and added some pink colours in the windows, like added a few pink flowers in the whites. But I was too busy to have time to take photos, that's shame. But it really made big difference to the whole window, colour is such a magical thing.

Hot Red

Wow! Whole red collection! Yes, this is the theme of this week RED HOT. Sharon got inspired from a magazine, if you could see a bit closer, you will find there are two magazine pages just beneath the models on the right hand side window in the last picture. Red is one of the colour trend at the moment, although we are a charity shop, we are a very trendy charity shop.

But the windows were not actually done by me. As I arrived there, the side had already been made, and the clothes had been chosen and matched together, so I just put them on the models. Pretty easy today. I like the looks, BUT they are too hot for me.

And the most excited thing is that we got a new model! Yeah! Well, it's not brand new, but it's a donation just came this week. Can you see it on the left hand side window? She is a lovely girl! She can be moved the arms, fingers and head, also she can wear shoes. When I was dressing her, I felt like I was dressing for a vegetable, it sounds a bit awkward though. But the only sad things is that she has no supporter to help her stand, so the window corner probably is the only place we can display her at the moment. She borrowed the wig from the charity shop next door as I said I wanted to put hair accessories on the model. Right, now you've got everything, so welcome CLIC Sargent new girl!

When I finished everything, Sharon said to me that next week will be my show time, I will choose my theme, and make the sign. Haha, I got a project to do, I like it!
